AIDED BY THE TREMENDOUS POST WAR POPULATION EXPLOSION, WHICH BY THE 1950'S HAD BEGUN TO MAKE ITSELF FELT WITH THE NEED FOR MORE CLASSROOMS, THE NESBITT COMPANY PROSPERED THROUGHOUT THE DECADE.  THE COMPANY EXPANDED ITS MANUFACTURING CAPACITY TO  MEET THE STRONG DEMAND FOR ITS EQUIPMENT, AND MANAGEMENT EXPLORED NEW SYSTEMS ENHANCEMENTS.

IN 1951 NESBITT INTRODUCED ITS WIND-O-LINE SYSTEM, WHICH PROVED TO BE THE MOST SATISFACTORY METHOD OF COMBATING WINDOW DOWNDRAFT IN BUILDINGS WITH LARGE GLASS AREAS.  IN 1955, NESBITT INTRODUCED THE HOT WATER WIND-O-LINE SYSTEM THAT REVOLUTIONIZED CLASSROOM HEATING AND VENTILATING BY MAINTAINING MECHANICAL SYSTEM COSTS WHILE ALL OTHER SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION COSTS WERE SKY ROCKETING.
